YB Skin: Mineral Cosmetics

Today I bring you another great cosmetics brand.  Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics (YB Skin) I received
two lip glosses and a Luminous Cream Blush as part of product review.

While working as a paramedical aesthetician, Pauline Youngblood, founder and CEO of Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics, saw a need among her clients for makeup that would not only offer realistic coverage for troubled or sensitive skin, but would also allow the skin to heal and breathe. To address this need Pauline began experimenting with different formulas of mineral foundations at home, and was soon distributing her creation to clients who continued to use it even after they healed. The rest is history! Read all about it HERE.

Most people are now watching what they put on their faces and YB Skin has provided just that.  The perfect blend of color and functionality to a "natural" and healthy looking skin.

I have been slowly but surely making a total switch to mineral makeup and have noticed a very positive change in my skin.   Don't take young skin for granted.  You use makeup? use the right kind!  Their website is very easy to navigate and  each product lists its attributes, i.e. cruelty free, vegan, glutten free, etc.

First up is the Luminous Cream Blush I had never used cream blush and found it a little troublesome to apply with my fingers when my nails are really long.  Other than that, I love it.  it's super smooth, durable and sweat resistant, I wore it on a hot day without hiccups or reapplying.  A little really goes a looooooooong way and it didn't make my face feel the heavy burden of wearing makeup.

Retails for blush $27 and it's good for dry normal and oily and all skin conditions including acne.  It's attributes are:
Cruelty Free
Fragrance Free
Glutten Free
Non-comedigenoc and non-acnegenic (which means it wont clog your pores)
Oil free
Paraben free
Recyclable
Talc Free

As for the lipgloss, I received shades bared and exposed.  Lovely colors, slanted tip for easy application and mighty shine.  Again, you dont need much of this to achieve a high shine.   It doesnt smell or taste like anything at all.  The pinkish one is bared and the purpleish is exposed.  Both have a very light tint of color, mostly a beautiful shine, this is the kind of make-up I wouldnt mind my little cousin (11) to "borrow" from me when she's experimenting.

Retails for $23.  Beautiful shades available.

Its attributes are:

Cruelty Free
Fragrance Free
Glutten Free
Nano free
Non-comedigenoc and non-acnegenic (which means it wont clog your pores)
Oil free
Paraben free
Recycable
Talc Free
Vegan

  1. Beauty products (official known as ‘cosmetics’) refer specifically to any product that is used to artificially enhance our appearance. Although beauty products have roots in ancient history (the Egyptians used castor oil on their skin as a protective balm and the Romans would use creams made from beeswax and rosewater), beauty products only really became popular in the 20th century and now many women all across the world find it unthinkable to even leave the house without wearing a layer of foundation makeup.
