Go Pink Wednesday # 5

Go Pink Wedensday
Today is the last Wednesday in October and final day of the Go Pink Wednesday event by fingerpaintingfingers in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Click to see all manis Week 1Week 2Week 3 and Week 4. Through out the month I've read stories from the other bloggers and fans and sooo many survivors thanks to early detection. Please, look into screening and listen to your body. Be a pink ribbon. Don't let the ribbon turn black once the battle is lost.

On a happy note, I have been away all this week, but thank goodness for the ability to schedule a post. I am packing and running around like a busy bee so please excuse the lack of effort for this mani. Although I wanted to do a pink Halloween mani my timing just didnt work :( but I think it's not too shabby!

This is my first Orly that I got for $0.50 on Copious.com. When you sign up at copious.com you receive a sign up bonus of $10.00 off a $50.00 purchase How enabling is that?? and often, Copious releases even more bonuses to spend as you may like, that's how I was able to get this gorgeous Orly. I decided on this color since I, God willing, will be on vacation in Hawaii. I should be there by the time this post publishes. EEEEK! and the name of this polish is Hawaiian Punch (how appropriate) :D

Anyway, when you use my direct invite http://copious.com/invites/5011a4f76058f1724f00a5d5, you earn an invitation bonus of $10.00 to use right away. yeap! $10.00!! (that's how I got this baby for 50 cents) GO NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!! from the land of Aloha

Embellished with Rainbow Honey A little Kindness

Pet Bowl Mat: Review and Giveaway

I received this great Pet Bowl Mat for a product review by Envision Home you may remember them from the Dish Drying Mat review and giveaway we had some time ago.

The pet bowl mat is a lot like the dish drying mat in that is super absorbent, easy to clean, folds and stores easily and is highly durable. Available in Regular and XL for small and big pets.

I had always been a slave of my floor (I have to say Maya, my oldest cat was too) we both, yes, WE BOTH, constantly cleaned the floor to keep it tighty, Maya just cleaned to keep her food in the same spot not all over the floor. Although I had a plastic placemat under her bowls, the mess always went to the floor and I had to sometimes clean it with my nails ughhh! my poor manicure!! and never dream of a water fountain (too messy).

Those days are long gone! now I have two cats, and a water fountain for them, sometimes they do spill the water, but I dont worry, this mat is super absorbent as previously stated, if food spills it stays in the mat and OFF the floor.

It's super cute too! not an eye sore as my plastic placemat. Looks stylish and fits right in with any decor. As for cleaning it, simply machine wash with like colors in cold water, tumble dry low (I hang to dry) and DONE!

Try it for your self. Enter below to win one THREE winners will be selected. US and Canada ONLY.

Better yet, dont leave it to chance... Buy yours HERE.

It's soo cool my baby even lays on it! =)

Garden Botanika: Shadow Primer

Bestseller Shadow Primer

I received a shadow primer as part of a product review from Garden Botanika a brand new company (at least to me) that uses only the finest botanically based formulas as super environment friendly, cruelty free ingredients and reusable and/or recyclable packaging.

I had never used a shadow primer... yes, I've used foundation primer but never shadow primer. So this was a first. I applied it using my ring finger on the entire lid and it's like foundation for the eyes it IMMEDIATELY brightened the eyes. A little goes a long way.

It makes shadow application smooth and the shadow colors more vibrant, also, am a shadow blender and noticed a great difference when blending because my lids are so smooth. Keeps my shadow from creasing and lasts all day. More importantly, it's moisturizing because it contains shea butter. I must confess... I have used it without shadow (blushed face) just to "freshen-up" my face when I dont want to wear much makeup.

Shadow primer can be purchased HERE for only $13.00 (not bad at all)
Be sure to check out their Website and Like them on Facebook..

top shows with and bottom without.

OPI's First International Short Film

Instict of Color launches today... see it below

OPI Announces Brand’s First International Short Film

OPI pays hommage to its Culture of Color with the international launch of its first branded film. Set to the French DJ band C2C’s “Down the Road,” the video features a surrealistic dance-off between four female dancers and a gorgeous Thoroughbred, as trained by equestrian stuntmaster Mario Luraschi.
Named after OPI’s classic black nail lacquer, Lady in Black (known as Black Onyx in North America) brought to the film a repetoire of moves including tap steps and dancing en pointe, while showcasing bestselling OPI colors on her hooves.
The film’s four featured lacquers – Pink-ing of YouRed My Fortune CookieNeed Sunglasses? and No Room for the Blues– each represent one style of dance and one overarching theme, illustrating OPI nail lacquer as a means of self-expression.
“I always say that nail lacquer can change your look – and your outlook,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP and Artistic Director. “Today, nail color can convey feelings and emotions, expressing on the outside what the wearer is feeling on the inside. In this short film, four women communicate through dance and color. With a trained Thoroughbred who could replicate the dancers’ moves with very little digital enhancement, we were able to capture the unique, energetic and creative culture that epitomizes the OPIbrand.”
The video launches worldwide on October 24, 2012. Please visit OPI on YouTube to view!

Indie Invasion: Vivid Lacquer

Brand new Indie Invasion (for this blog) !! :)
As part of a product review, I received these three babies from Vivid Lacquer.

from left to right: Autumn Harvest, Have Fun Storming the Castle and Sketchbook.
ANNNNNNNND I love her logo "" so classy and sassy.
You are going to love these!

Sketchbook was the perfect additive to a french manicure. For years, all I ever did to my nails was this plain, good 'ol french tip, not that is perfect but I've gotten a lot of practice, until I discovered the addictive world of nail polish of EVERY color.

gorgeous over the white.. but I wanted the tip to stand out so I simply re-painted the white tip for this look.
I got a lot of compliments with this mani and who doesnt love compliments??

Sadly you can't appreciate the shimmer from the tiny glitter (pixiedust) that makes a part of this gorgeous polish.

Next up is Autumn Harvest. Believe it or not, my background color is simply my base coat.

Autumn Harvest is another celebration of color... It just seems like fall party with its bright colors at its best like the picture below I pulled off the net. A combination of colors and shapes for a perfect harvest of wonder.

Go to full-size image

I wanted to go with a stripe of colors and stamping on the other side. But I was so happy with the achieved design that I decided to leave it as is.

Lastly, Have Fun Storming the Castle. This is a beautiful blue with black and different shades of blue glitter and hexes, as well as silver (what I call pixie dust)

here;s over white and naked on thumb.

Look at that beautiful sparkle <3

Although my favorite is Autumn Harvest I got way too many compliments on Sketchbook =)

Vivid Lacquer also makes image plates for stamping and can be found HERE. Be sure to check out her store for more great items and like her page on Facebook.

What do you think?? I love reading your comments! which one would you say is your favorite???

Mineral Hygienics Makeup: Review and Tips

#1 rated Mineral Makeup Mineral Hygienics sent me samples of their amazing product as part of a product review and I am positive you're going to love it too.

I reviewed 2 shades of Foundation (medium and light). They have 14 available colors, you are sure to find your match and offer 100% color match guarantee and 100% money back guarantee. Anyway with 14 shades available you are sure to find the right one but how do you choose?? They can help you too! just click HERE.

Also reviewed finishing powder (available in silk translucent or matte) a bronzer (cool kiss) and a Kabuki Brush.

Besides being beautifully packaged. It works beautifully too!!!!!
it is made with only 4 ingredients, which means 0% oils, talc, fragrances, bismuth, synthetics, fillers, parabens or BHT (which I dont know what it is but it sounds bad).

easy to get to, containers dispose the right amount, I had a hard time getting this much out for the pic but went back inside easy. I hate it when your makeup is spilled because of faulty containers. This one checks ;)

This is my skin approaching its worst days of the month (if you know what I mean)

Before

and this is after application of the sheer mineral foundation. A mix of light and medium shades.

After one layer
Application with the brush is flawless. To apply begin by buffing in a circular motion around the perimeter of your face and work your way towards the center ending with your cheeks and chin. Blend blend blend!!! and re-apply for more layers as needed depending on the coverage you want and for special occasions or an added glow use the silk translucent ., I think of it as the "top coat" for the face (my nail polish loving friends will understand ;)

On a regular day, my skin doesn't have the undesirable bumps or uneven tones as it does above but I wanted you to see my skin at its worse. I liked it very much because it doesn't clog your pores, skin is vibrant it simply works as it says it will, leaves my skin feeling and looking youthful, not flaky and dry, so good, I really feel I could sleep with it on, in fact I have and my skin doesn't feel as if it was stuck to the bones. I also love the healthy glow from the light bouncing off my face. =)

Keep in mind that it takes a few seconds, sometimes minutes, for minerals to warm up in your skin so a little goes a long way.

You can buy a mini starter kit for $29.99
For more product info visit mineralhygienics.com and for tips click on "Tips and Tricks"

Kor Water Vessel : Review and Giveaway

KOR Aura (750 mL)

As you know, am a very outdoorsy person. I love hiking, biking. walking, (not running), riding (my vespa-wanna be scooter), etc. It is imperative that we stay hydrated during any physical activity. But you also want to do this in style. Help keep water bottles away from landfills by using a reusable vessel.

I received the Kor Aura water vessel as part of a product review and I love it. It comes in different colors, holds 750 ml (500ml also available). Features ergonomic design for easy grabbing and my favorite feature is its hygienic spout. It is a wide spout of the perfect size so water splashing all over yourself but it is also covered at all times so that if you're running with it, dirt and dust don't get to your spout and into your body (yuck).

Kor Vessels are super chic. They're inviting to drink from. Handle easy to grab and go, the rim is slightly curved so your lips rest on it comfortably. Fits perfectly in my car's cup holder (major brownie points for that). Easy cleaning, simply open and wash (major major brownie points for that) most reusable bottles with time start showing some grime around the spout and it's hard to get to that when cleaning. (my bike's bottle did that I had to throw it away it grossed me out).

BTW: I love their logo.

Kor is a member of 1% for the Planet which is "a growing global movement of more than 1000 companies that donate 1% of their sales to a network of more than 3000 approved environmental organizations worldwide"

It's durable, dishwasher safe, made with Eastman Tritan (vessel body), polypropylene (cap) and food grade silicone (seals) Visit their site to see all vessels and to get your own, or you can enter below to win your very own (US ONLY) which retails for $14.99.
When you purchase a vessel, it is $4.99 flat rate shipping and free shipping on order of $50.00 or more.
