Crumpet Nail Tarts - Blue and Silver

I've been sooo out of the game but I will be working my way back.  I joined the Crumpet Nail Tarts for the 26 Nailart Ideas Challenge.  Our first prompt is blue and silver.

I did this mani way before it was due because I knew I'd be out of town last weekend.  However, life got on the way and I didn't get to photograph it better but I think it's kinda cool that it sort of matches my sweater.

So I'm back and posting late but it was a mani that turned heads :)

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Gray + Colour

Using the newest OPI shades from the starlight collection, today's prompt is Gray + Colour.  I used two shades of gray (as opposed to 50? LoL)   and pink topped with pink glitter.
No More Mr. Night Sky, By the Light of the Moon, Mod About You and Infrared-y to Glow
 
I dont think it photographed well so here's a phone pic.  Still not the best pic ever, but i promise it's pretty cute to the naked eye ;)  I've wore this mani for several days now and you know I'm picky as to what I show those around me.

Strum My Heart-Strings Challenge: French Tip

Yaaaaay,,, French TIPPPP 

one of my most favorite since it's all I did before any nail color came to my life... this is very primal to me, it's history... very me....

and this cant be any more perfect.... just when I started to think that plain nails without nail art are just boring... anyone with me??

I decided to keep it very very basic and low key because of a very serious meeting I have today but a frenchy spikes up any mani and it's soooo quick... i dont have to wait for my base color to dry to apply a stamp or anything like it... :) 

Not sooo valentine's week though but am sure the other ladies participating will be cupid inspired... we'll enjoy those ! :)

Colors used: Chantal from Zoya Naturel and SinfulColors Snow Me White

Strum My Heart-Strings Challenge: Matte Finish

Here's another challenge I joined ... I'll be in and out of this one.. as much as I love doing my nails, this is a tough week for me and I know it's a little late today... am less upset about the Barielle giveaway and still hopeful... there will be more and most importantly it was super fun making it.

Anyway.. back to today's chalenge:

Matte and valentine's day immediately bring to mind Get It On from the Leather Luxe set by SinfulColors and with the help of a red striper... easy, simple and yet noticeable.

Tri-Polish Tuesdays

This month's color combo is soooo pretty... my mani turned nothing like I had in mind... and now as I write this post, I realize this dumb inattentive girl misread the poster and I thought the colors were grey, black and pink ughhh! I really need to get this practice thing on! :)  the good thing is that black is allowed :)

but here they are...

Photographs awfully... I promise the grey is there :) some sponging and Pueen 20 stamps with silver embellishments.





 

 

Golden Oldie Thursday: Dots

I cheated today!!!!!! waaaah! am sooooorry!!!!!!!

I came home today to find a box from Rainbow Honey and I just couldnt resist!!!!!! I didnt did it on purpose.  All i could think about was "dots" "dots", today's theme and completely forgot about the MAIN POINT OF THE CHALLENGE: OLDIES!!!!!!

When I realized it, I had already watermarked and uploaded these few pictures :(

Golden Oldie Thursday: Blue

Today's challenge is blue... being my favorite color... I didn't know which blue to pick,,,, i went through my oldies and although they aren't THAT old! I think my good blues went on my mom's give-to-me pile.

Using Zoya Rocky, Barielle Magna Cum Laude Turquoise and China Glaze Scandalous Shenanigans 

I have been obsessed with the sponge technique which I really want to get just right and I still can't but am figuring it out... I can hardly see one of the colors but it's there, I promise :) 

Maybe it's the lighting fading in the middle color

But as usual... I just can't stay still... I added a stamp using Cheeky XL plate A

I apologize for my ring finger... the sponge and I had a slight misunderstanding that we just couldnt straighten out for this mani.,.. but we have come to an agreement for next time ;) She (the sponge) is vicious!

 

Tri Polish Tuesdays: 3

I know I'm a day late with this post... i've been sick as a dog but didnt want to leave this hanging... 

This is what I came up with using limited resources and being able to do it on my lap while in bed ^_^ 

(am not allowed to leave the house in this super cold-below zero degrees weather) 

AAAANNNNDDD these are the very first pictures taken with my very own lightbox 

I still need practice but I do like what I see so far.

I used same polishes as last time HERE except the yellow is my very faithfu Marylin striper color canary.

Golden Oldie Thursday: Stripes

Today's challenge is stripes and the first thing I think about is striping tape.  (ByTheWay: there's a striping tape giveaway on my Facebook page #wink #wink)

I did this mani continuing on last mani on this challenge (you can see it HERE)

adding a coat of Zoya Anaka, my very first Zoya I think I got it for only a few cents from Copious over a year ago... still one of my favorites... I havent used Copious in a while but you can check it out HERE

but that seemed too easy ... yellow and black stripes is something I always wanted to try and made me think of bumble bees so I added a little trail of where buzzing friends would have been.  However the cutest buzzing friends I've ever seen happen to live in my household.  If curious, you are more than welcome to see them HERE

The polish is Yellow Submarine by Sqaurehue and an old black (so old, no longer has a label).
This Hue may not be a whole year old but it's deff an "oldie"
