Midnight Nails

It was midnight about three weeks ago! 
Came home after dinner, a glass or two of wine later, and I got the sudden urge of doing my nails.  Interestingly enough, I was melancholic and went back to my very first Zoya nail polish ever! Anaka.   Paired it with OPI's Pearl of Wisdom  and gave roses a try!!!
I like the end result.  I think I should get another bottle of THAT wine ^_^

Colombian Independence Day Nails

I have a long day and and have had a week from far far far in the earth's core (where's there is fire) but I couldnt neglect my beautiful country's independence day.. for some relaxing, I am headed to church and then off to a Colombian festival to celebrate this day!

Must be a subtle, well.. I say subtle because our colors are quite bright, and I doubt I will have time to change my mani before my meeting tomorrow.. so here it is... I hope you like it...

This is Zoya Dream and Chantal at the base of the accent nail.  Using stripes I re-created the Colombian flag.

What do you think?

Simple! yet delivers! This took about 3 minutes to do :D  Can't beat stripes when on-the-go!



P.S. sorry the stripes smeared a bit with the top coat.

Awaken Mani

Using Hudson, Rebel and Dot from the Zoya Awaken Collection and a black striper.... simple mani!  just thought i'd show you!
If only I could get the dots in a straight line lol! oh well! :)

The set makes the perfect soft transition from winter into spring with these colors.  All colors are full coverage formula.... one coat will suffice but all seen here in two coats.  Easy non-streaky application, except for Brooklyn, if not applied evenly, it's going to streak.  Designed to be long lasting... the shimmers required a little extra rub-a-dub-dub  to remove completely with non-acetone nail polish remover.  Creams came right off exactly when I wanted them to :)

Zoya and Jessica Cosmetics dupes?

I am really liking these dupe posts... I cannot accept the fact that two of my favorite brands will give us the same color.  And here is another close call.

Swatched, Jessica has more of a bluish tint while Zoya stays purple.  :) 

Pheeew... am happy to report that these two shades, although very close, are not the same,.. THEY ARE SIMILAR!

Zoya and Jessica Cosmetics: Dupes??

One thing I cannot allow is someone telling me I have two of the same nail polish colors.  They're never the same, they may be similar but NEVER the same... although I must admit this one was a very close one. 

Jessica Cosmetics and Zoya: Two of my very favorite brands couldnt possibly have dupes.  Let's take a look.

Opening night by Jessica and Mason by Zoya.  Bottles are offly close 

The image below was a flipped image so that they could be right below its corresponding name.

I swatched them side by side and although they very close, I'd stand by my "they are similar" opinion,.  Jessica has a darker tint of magenta where Zoya stays just a hue below in the pink family.

Strum My Heart-Strings Challenge: French Tip

Yaaaaay,,, French TIPPPP 

one of my most favorite since it's all I did before any nail color came to my life... this is very primal to me, it's history... very me....

and this cant be any more perfect.... just when I started to think that plain nails without nail art are just boring... anyone with me??

I decided to keep it very very basic and low key because of a very serious meeting I have today but a frenchy spikes up any mani and it's soooo quick... i dont have to wait for my base color to dry to apply a stamp or anything like it... :) 

Not sooo valentine's week though but am sure the other ladies participating will be cupid inspired... we'll enjoy those ! :)
