Weekend getaway: Bahamas

I noticed it's been a while since my last post, I slowly got sucked into Instagram and the ease to post got addictive.  In case we're not connected, follow me @BSNFun let me know in a comment you're there and I'll be sure to follow back :) 

So the impending end of winter (yes, last winter) was coming and my friend started talking about getting away for a nice long weekend, we had both been working really hard so I quickly agreed, except that I thought she meant let's go away far away to like, Connecticut, or upstate New York (we're in NYC).... she quickly said "noon, I mean somewhere south and warm"....  ummm...ok... Georgia?? Florida??

After much deliberation we ended up in Bahamas.  All inclusive resort on the bay side on Paradise Island for a weekend.

Soooo what have you been up to???

 

Sun Protection? Use sunscreen and bangs

As a BzzAgent, I received some products to try and even coupons to share :)

As the day went on and weather warmed up, my lips were burning, I should have used some sort of spf lip balm but I didnt.  Oh Well!! my face was protected so who cares.  My hair was in a pony tail, my face was clear of hair ALL day... The next day, my face felt great but I did notice that my hairline was RED! as red can be... turns out, I did not apply Coppertone ClearlySheer sunscreen lotion past my hair line.  So days later, the skin on my hairline was peeling.   That could have been my face if I had not used sunscreen.  

Lesson learned:  Let my bangs out and also apply spf lip balm after my Coppertone sunscreen, highly recommended.

My sport bag came in very handy for this trip.  I had my SLR camera, water proof camera, towel, sandals and an extra t-shirt in there.  

everything was wet but the time this picture was taken (with the waterproof camera) so I had to protect the SLR.  

I trusted Planet Wise would keep their promise of keeping everything in the dry bag DRY!!! and they did. 

The only thing is that I wish the straps were shorter because am short so it would be on my back rather than my butt when I walk.

Ahhh the land of Aloha!!!

the water bottle holder will hold a 20 Vitamin Water or Gatorade.  I take it on hikes, at the beach, amusement parks and when riding bicycle or my motorized scooter (moped).  Every pocket is strategically located and all items kept within reach and very well thought-out.  For example, you wont have to reach all across your  body to grab your phone.  What if it rang 20 times a day?  The phone's pocket is right in front of you.

Also proved very efficient around holiday shopping.  Never had to worry about my purse and the only bags to carry were the things I just purchased and no hunting for wallet or keys when too many bags at hand :)  when taking my kids to the vet (my furry kids) I can use my hands to carry them comfortably as opposed to juggling them and a purse.

Safety First: Biking Reflective Gear: GIVEAWAY

Hi!!!!!!! as you already know, I love biking, however, we're approaching that time of the year when sun goes down earlier, therefore, it gets dark before you know it and being "invisible" becomes a safety hazard as opposed to a cool super power.
