Miracle Noir Mask

I received the Miracle Noir Mask for review from Premier Dead Sea USA.  It is made from Dead Sea mud and minerals to nourish the epidermis while at the same time, reviving skin cells.  It is a firming, oxygen, exfoliation and purification mask, all in one.  So easy and smooth to apply It feels refreshing upon application.

I love the skin rejuvenating effects of masks on my face and had never tried a mud mask my main concern was how much of a process and how messy will it be to take it off?? but it should not be a concern at all.

It goes on your skin smoothly using the spatula, I left it on for 8 minutes (I had to run) it is recommended that you leave it on for 5-20 minutes.

To take it off, wrap the mud block in tissue to keep it clean and glide it over your face.  The mud block attracts the mask as a magnet and takes it right off

The moisturizing effects were immediately seen.  My skin has been radiant for three days now, that evening I was very pleased when my friends had asked me "Did you get a facial" I replied "No!" they said I was glowing so I shared my secret and I am sharing it again with you!  This mask is so powerful and effective that three days after the initial application my face feels fresh and clean.

Flawless French Manicure. Shaky hands? No problem!

I received the Flawless French Manicure Kit from Elegant Touch for review.  For the most part, am pretty good at doing the white line that denominates a french manicure, however, my angles tend to be a little off AND it takes forever... Here's how easy and fast a Flawless French Manicure can be with this kit.

No white polish needed, no smudges or wobbly lines.

It has everything you need:  base coat, brush-on adhesive, ultra thin plastic french tip, applicator, nail file and top coat.

For those of you that are observant, yes, I was sitting in my car, I was unhappy with my plain 'ol manicure and decided to give the kit a try for the first time, yes IN THE CAR.

First, apply the base coat (although not recommended for durability, I skipped this step), brush on a coat of glue, press on the applicator

Gently break the end of the applicator and remove

File the tip and

Lastly, apply the top coat and you're done and have a FLAWLESS FRENCH MANICURE.  in less than 10 minutes.  So easy and so fast I did it in the car =)

The product retails for $14.99 and it has 56 french tips in 14 sizes, easy to remove and here I am after 5 days without any chips.

Yester Year Soap Company Review

I received these soaps from Yester Year Soap Company.  They are made from organic vegetable oils, the beautiful array of colors is obtained using organic herbs and the sweet and lovely the scent comes from pure essential oils from plant extracts.   When they arrived I could smell the sweet scent of what I later found out was Mississippi Mud.

The scent is noticeable even just standing alone.   I will also use as air freshener, these soaps have what I found to be an unique feature (being soaps) they really engage all senses, they are very pretty and colorful and appealing to the eye (sight), the scent is marvelous (smell), rubbing your hands together is very pleasant (touch) and well, maybe it does not engage the sense of taste but I can just imagine what they could taste like. :-9  Soaps are used for washing, cleaning, bathing but when I opened these I wanted to eat them.

I found this ribbon in my craft caddy and wrapped it around Sea Scrub.  Am going to use it to decorate and freshen the bathroom at a hall where we will be having a friend's babyshower.

The characteristics I look for in soap are (1) scent, (2) how it lathers, (3) easy to wash away without leaving residue and  (4) the ability to take grime away without leaving my hands dried and scratchy.  When using YesterYear Soap all of the criteria was met.  I then wanted to take a bite of my hands, they smell soooo good!!! and the scent lasts!!!!  and my hands felt very moisturized I rubbed my hands longer than necessary because it felt so good.

Need Gift Ideas.  This could be a great gift for anyone on any occasion and with mother's day around the corner, use it for a gift or mother's day stuffer.  Am getting some for my mother-in-law (who's very picky) that's how much I liked it!!!

To find out more about Yester Year Soap Company click here and like them on Facebook.

All I have to say is that I have grown so accustomed to liquid soap that I had forgotten the art and wonders of nature that can be found in these bars of soap.

P.S.: It has been only a few days but I love the fact that it has not made a mess on the soap dish.

Garnier Fructis

I have received this product for review from Bzzagent and was a little hesitant. My friend told me she had used the brand some time ago and the fruity smell was simply annoying. It was way too sweet (not that is that bad-I just was not looking forward to smelling like candy cane all day). But I tried it because of all the ingredients and nutrients needed for healthy and shiny hair.  My hair is curly, thick and long so I need all the help I can get to keep the locks in place and keep the frizz away. I have now used it for a week straight but because of my hair type, I still needed to add one pump of Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum (about dime size) and that is just enough to maintain a natural shine and all hair in place throughout the day.

Did you know? Garnier is getting greener! New Eco-Fructis Bottle New designed bottle made of PET, the most widely recycled plastic Contains 30% recycled material.

Garnier's products are affordable and easily accessible at mass market stores (i.e. Walmart, Target, etc.) as well as Walgreens, CVS and the like or at the grocery store to get during your grocery run.

Get the most intense smoothing yet from Sleek & Shine Shampoo.

FORTIFIED FRUIT SCIENCE Ultra-smoothing Argan Oil from Morocco and Apricot Oil Now it locks out frizz for a full 3 days, even in 97% humidity.

How to use: Massage into wet hair, lather and rinse thoroughly. For best results, use with Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine System.

I received a product sample, coupon, collateral or other special premium from BzzAgent

Water Marble Rainbow Gone Wrong

FAIL!

I was inspired by the wonderful rainbow design that Peace Love Lacquer shared on her Facebook page (by the way, go "Like" her) but of course, me being me, I wanted to give it a little twist and marble the rainbow instead.  (reminder to self:  Self! just keep it simple).

Water marble is the coolest nail polish phenomenon (at least for me) so I have made a few attempts (don't know why-it's not enjoyable).  I will try to give you a few tips that will hopefully help you figure out or master this technique.  First, you will need to have everything you want to use handy.  You will have to be quick and accurate (it'll come naturally-do not stress over this) here is what I used:

From left to right: Sinful Colors (hereafter "SC") Dream On, SC Let's Talk, SC Blue by You, SC Happy Ending, SC Let's Meet, SC Summer Peach, Nicka Red (the label faded I cannot read the name), SC Savage, SC Snow Me White, a small bowl with water, tooth pick, dotting tools, paper towel and scotch tape.

A lot of nail artists use bottled water with a splash of nail polish remover and although this works, I just prep the water (regular tap water) by adding some drops of nail polish then cleaning it by swiping the tooth pick around the water.

Apply base coat to your nail and a background color.   The add blobs of nail polish to the water.  (marbling is a lot easier when doing two or three colors but since my goal was a rainbow I used more.

The lines were nice and sparse for my design.  Next, Dip your finger in the water where you want to pick up the design.   Then while your finger is still dipped, use the toothpick to swipe around your finger to clean the water so that what is around does not ruin your design.

I then painted my other fingers with SC Savage and using dotting tools made the clouds and added some clouds under the "rainbow" and this is what I ended up with!

For some reasons, it was an epic fail.  I ended up with blue finger and this manicure lasted no more than 20 minutes... maybe the clouds were too big?  maybe the marble was not a good idea.  I just did not like it.

Water marble is time consuming, messy and frustrating, but again, the look achieved is worth every minute of it.  (not on this particular look but you get the idea).

Thank you Peace Love Lacquer for encouraging me to try it.  But again, next time, I will keep it simple and just freehand the rainbow!!!

Please comment.... I love reading your thoughts...
