Indie Invasion: Candeo Colors: Joker

I am really into purple lately, I dont know why!  =/
I think I just woke up one day and said "am gonna get into purple" lol

whatever the reason is, am super excited to bring you Candeo Colors.  As part of a product review, I received Joker which is a top coat consisting of a clear base with purple, lavender and periwinkle hex glitter of different sizes.

All Candeo Colors polishes are BIG 3 FREE.

A bit on the thick side, but as you know I love my glitter polish thick (it's easier to peel).   It's not a thirsty glitter top coat and every application carried its nice share of glitter pieces. Seen below in two coats. Remember the New Black Haze set? I really like what I did and pictures speak better than words.  I hope they are to your liking.

NO H8 Mani

Most of my favorite bloggers are joining in the cyber fight against bullying.  From personal experience, I can tell you how devastating this is to someone's life.  I was bullied by a lot of "friends" in middle school and these events were significant enough for me to still remember.  Luckily I did overcome  the obstacles and now enjoy the gift of their true friendship.  Remember my trip to Hawaii that got cancelled because of Hurricane Sandy?  Well, turns out that I was visiting a friend in Hawaii who yeap! was one of the "mean girls" in our class.  

It's was very difficult to bring out the better person in me though the years but we all have to come to our senses and be at peace with eachother and ourselves.  We came to terms and are very good friends now, thank God and this has been a true gift.  There is no reason to believe EVERY negative thing someone says about or to you, because for every negative comment ONE person makes 10 people have 10 good things to say.  2 people 20, 3 people 30 and so on and so forth.  YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, the fact that you also look it, it's mere coincidence.  ;) 

I am no nail tech or professional, but I truly enjoy what I do.  I think I have gotten better with time and strive every day to become better and better.  I thank you for all of your encouraging comments and messages.  You guys make it all fun and worth it.

Anyway, onto the fun stuff.  I decided to use Passion Purple and the entire quick dry system from Dazzle Dry for this mani.  It's beautiful rich shimmery purple and completely dried under 5 minutes :D  



This color is truly gorgeous and alive, no bully will come near it... .  Wear out for a night of glamour or simply out for a day/night into town... dont stay home with it... it's durable and gorgeous you'll just want to show it off.

What would I improve?The only part I see that may need some improvement is the food log. The existing food log database will get you going on the input of your information many times but there are many others that you will have to create your own food data entry and that can be a problem if you don’t eat at a popular chain restaurant or if you didn't cook your food, because it the task will turn into a lot of guessing affecting the accuracy of your calorie count"

Bodymedia's armbands can be personalized as well.  And really! no one can tell you have it and if it's seen it's not an eye sore on your body!  For him was very easy to "hide" under his sleeves.  

Bodymedia's mobile app did not work on Blackberry but it's compatible with Android and iphones.  

This wireless Link Armband retails for $149.00 and it's bluetooth compatible :)

In order to access the management system a monthly fee of $6.95 applies (you get three months free with the purchase of any device).  Gym memberships are waaaaay more than that and I don't think is that much.  The system is YOUR very OWN personal couch.  Bodymedia also offers great nutritional and other advise on their site which you can access at any time.  You are what you eat, and it's nice to have a system tracking it for you.

My Birthday and Vacations GONE!

Soooo on my last post, I tell you how I was supposed to be in the land of Aloha and how excited I was to be able to schedule the post to publish automatically just on time for the last Go Pink Wednesday...

Yeah!! turns out there was a hurricane in the area that ruined everything.  Literally EVERYTHING!!!

The idea was to go to Hawaii to visit my friend for my Birthday that happens to be today :(

We were not able to travel because of the Hurricane am still without power, heat or hot water... luckily, neighboring towns have had their power restored and restaurants and supermarkets are back in business so I have been able to eat :D

Am really bummed though, it's cold and sad inside my house.  But we're ok!  suffered no injuries nor property damage :)  except for a cold am now fighting but hey, it's the least of my worries.

So this is how am celebrating my birthday :)  ....
But... I wont have a mani to show you nor cool pics of my kitties to be uploaded but I can tell you, I am very very happy to be here :) although am supposed to be in the land of Aloha.  There's heat here :) and food delivery yaaaay!

Am also a first responder as an Auxiliary Police Officer and saw a lot of people suffering by the devastation of the Hurricane.  It was bad, but of course, it wasnt that bad, we're just not used to this in our neck of the woods.  We are truly blessed.  and got to practice the virtue of patience which is not very common around here.  Since the Hurricane, I have seen a lot of people  really stopping and smelling the flowers.  We take way too many things that matter for granted.  Be patient, be kind, be loving and understanding.

For me, with no electricity or hot water or Blogger or Facebook, although I miss you! hasnt been that bad but I really miss my heat :(

Ok! gotta get back to work, the office has been closed for the entire week! there's a lot to do!
