Ahhh another awesome fall collection for review.
I can't be more excited about fall.

The collection is called Nude & Naughty but I think it should be Naughty Nudes ;)
I love nudes... it was more recently that I started adding color to my life but nudes and neutrals hold a special place in my heart.

First up is Very Bare:
Difficult to photograph but it's a light-white-pinkish perfect for that french manicure 

Very sheer.  used without base and needed 3 coats for full coverage and no streaks.

Added some Viva La Nails decals for a more intricate design.  I am covering my pinky because it was nothing like the other nails.  wore this mani for several days and was filled with compliments :)



Pillow Talk also a gorgeous neutral.  2 coats.


AHHH!!!!!!!! French mani!!!!!!!!!! :)



Ok! Got off the french manicure frenzy and moved on with the neutral shades.  Next is No Not Now.... I have no idea where the name came from but made me chuckle.  :-p
This will be the perfect go to color for a touch of simplicity and elegance.



Next is I Got a Headache... gave me no headache at all.  On the contrary, applied nicely with 2 coats and gorgeous copper tones shimmer.



And lastly, In Good Taste.
The name says it all.

Dfi Aging Antiaging facial toner: Why use toner?

As part of a product review, I received a bottle ofr Dfi Aging Antiaging Facial Toner.  Although you should take care of your skin all year 'round, Summer is a specially rough time for your skin.  One of the things I wish I could do besides become less angry when I first wake up (am really not me until completely awake) is to be able to adhere to a full beauty regimen. 

Clean your skin, apply toner, moisterizer with SPF and make up (face, eyes and lips)  (to get prettied-up).

Me: wake up, be angry, tie hair (when not washing it), compact powder, lipstick and run out.

My face is lucky to get some water when I wash my face. Of course, this is not everyday but it is true most of the time.

With so much to do in so little time, toner has helped the cause by a lot.  My skin was breaking out out-of-control worse than during puberty.  I figured out that it was because I havent been keeping my face clean and acne breakouts were due to clogged pores.  Been using this toner for over a month (not religiously but from 2 to 3 times a week) and no more clogged overloaded yucky pores !
SCOOOORE!!!!

Toners are mostly recommended for people with oily skin and for EVERYONE wanting to be extra clean.  yeah, even after washing your face, dirt particles and makeup stay on, they just stick and dont want to let go.

Toner also helps in shrinking your pores, balancing your pH, refresh and moistereize.  I honestly thought it simply refreshed your skin but turned out very helpful and seriusly revitalized my skin especially when am on the go!

Dfi Aging's toner is made with hibiscus, honey and lavender, smells very pleasant and it's very very refreshing. 

This is my cotton swab after thinking my skin was completely clean because I washed it and used a facial cleanser.  I made sure to use it and clean my face throughout and still, the cotton swab has a gradient of different shades of brown YUCK!!!

And it's worse when I dont really clean my face that good and sometimes even for a few days.

It's past midnight on a hot summer night right now! I've done so many things today and thought I'd sit down and catch up on blogging.  My windows are open.  I've broken a sweat.  Now that I think about it.  I even applied a bit of makeup and now am ready for bed.. and No... sitting here writing about a clean face and I havent even applied makeup remover. !!!

Back to School Nail Art Challenge: fave / least fave subject

It's hard to pick a fave and least fave subject for a nail art challenge, at least for me.  This late at night when creativity drops to a minimum at times.

I was pretty nerdy in school but had a really hard time remembering names and dates for history class but could figure out a physics one-page formula in a heart beat and actually enjoyed it.

 

I hated changing for gym (in Jr. High) and since hated phys ed.  but didnt want to interfere with the sports day! :)

 

In any event, I thought about Astronomy.  I always thought my astronomy notebook would end up with drawings of aliens and stars but never actually did (except for a few stars to glaze at at night after class).  I've always been fascinated with the universe and its wonders so here's what I came up with using some stripers and black polish.

 

This is a double challenge because I decided to stamp what I wanted my notebooks to look like.

Back to School Nail Art Challenge: Apple for Teacher

Hi everyone.. I've been away from my blog.  My  mommy left after a very long stay with me.. she leaves a continent away and having her made me so happy... now that she's back home she left me with an empty heart.  Our relationship growing up was a little rough but then I grew up and we are the bestests of friends.  I will miss her... 

I was trying to get back to my normal routine, including doing my nails and actually posting them on the blog.  I am now considering law school so that's going to be interesting... anyway... it an attempt to get back to normal as quickly as possible.  I enrolled in a Back to School Nail Art Challenge and here's my mani for the day.  I will be jumping in and out and hope it is to your enjoyment.   Thank you Rachos Nail Love for putting this together.

Zoya Cashmere Fall Collection: Swatches and nail art

Another great Zoya sampler for review EEEEEEEEEEEEK!

The Zoya Fall 2013: Cashmere Collection is here!!!!  made up of six gorgeous creamy shades.  The Zoya fairies outdid themselves [again!!!!]

This fall is making me "Fall" forward.  Plus, it's my favorite season and with the nail colors of the season, I am ready to kick summer 2013 good-bye! 

First up is Livingston.  Described as the perfect fall red.   I dont think is super unique but definitely my truest red.

Pepper is a brick red, warm fall color for the season's adventures.

Sailor is the "right on" navy shade... not too dark not too light where is just blue.  True navy <3 

Louise is a chocolate brown color for the brownie and teddy bear nail art :)

Flynn is a nude cream:  You know am a sucker for nudes.  This is elegant, sophisticated and fun!!

My first attempt at fan brush nail art using Flynn, Louise and Hunter.

But I was having too much fun and went with a failed attempt at camo nails... dont judge my nail art skills... and please show me some good camo nails using these three beauties.  Flynn, Louise and Hunter are def. the three musketeers for the task
