Go Pink Wednesday!

Go Pink Wedensday
As you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  so yes, that's why my blog is pink =)
Breast cancer is a horrible disease affecting millions of women many of whom survive but many others lose their battle against IT!
The best weapon against it is early detection, it's never too early to start looking for its signs.  Perform a self exam and if you feel something that's not quite supposed to be there go see a Doctor.  According to Susan G. Komen For the Cure, a self exam is NOT recommended as a screening but it's good to be familiar with it and how your breasts are supposed to feel and look that way if something is ever off, you'll be the first one to know because early detection starts with ourselves.

Yesterday, some of my favorite blogs were showing off their pink manis for Finger Painting Fingers's Go Pink Wednesday event and said to my self: "I'd love to be a part of this" so I joined and am thrilled.  I hope you enjoy it and if you have a chance post your manis too to her Facebook page every Wednesday in October.

Over exposed shot

I used Avon viva pink (how appropriate is that name??), sinful colors glass pink and Dazzle Dry base and top coat.  Accent nail with pink ribbon made of rhinestones. =)

do you like it????

Look at everyone's pink manis for this amazing cause.  If you're a blogger and would like to join too click HERE

Black & White Mani for Sassy Saturday

Loved my black and White mani but....

It was too simple! So I added amazing Viva La Nails decals that I received as part of a product review. Look at how gorgeous. It really made the look!

For this mani, I used W&W Black polish (unsure about the name) found it in my aunt's stash of bottles to throw away (who throws away nail polish???) and sinful colors snow me white, Cheeky plate CH51 and freehand stripes.

Decals come in cute packaging with protective film.  Easy to "peel" off the film to place onto your nails

I loved it so much I entered Shellys Sassy Nails monthly Nail Art Competition.  The first Saturday of each month, Shelly hosts this competition with a theme! this month's theme is Black & White.

Per Shelly "Favorite Mani will be chosen Saturday evening by some of my non-nail friends and family and will receive a special Surprise Gift from me!! ♥ Only 1 Rule: photo Can be of an old mani, just please Not one that was entered in any other contests. If you have Any questions just ask :) International entries are welcome!"

Back to Viva La Nails, they are a professional nail supplies online store with everything you need for your nails, image plates, brushes, acrylic colors, rhinestones, GLITTER!!!, decals, fimmo sticks and more.  Pretty much everything you can think of ;)

Skinny Jeans: Review and GIVEAWAY

hello! SkinnyJeans

I received a pair of the amazing Skinny Jeans.  they hug my body! and unlike other jeans (that I like) allow my skin to breathe.  They are made of classic denim (real jeans) but with a high nylon/elastane content

the inside non-stretch cotton pocketing lining the front pockets is sewn into the front seam so when the jeans are zipped up a restraining panel is created that pushes the entire stomach area in.  (that's my cell phone in my back pocket).

Durable.  Color stays (not that I would wash them with light colors) I have washed them a few times now and still look great!  my tummy doesnt hang! (yes I do have a tummy) it sits on my waist which is very flattering to my figure.  best of all! NO BUTT CRACK when I sit down and  feel sexy.  The only con is that the boot is long, too long for me! bue when I wear it, I fold the inseam inside until I get a chance to fix it the "hem".
True to size and comfortable.  I can walk, run, move, dance, bend and pretty much live in these jeans! and look GREAT! =) at least feel as if I looked great! =)

and I love to hear "where did you get those jeans?" and some people think they are leggins

Well, I got it as part of a product review and you can get it at skinnyjeans.com or enter below to win a pair of your choice from the Team Colors Collection.

Pet Unwanted Behavior? cat OR dog

Bringing in a new kitten to the home was not easy! you may remember my pleads and anguish for Maya to be nice to her new brother Milo.

When he first arrived they were immediately introduced.  I was holding Milo and Maya was standing near my feet.  She came to greet me at the door like she would normally and immediately noticed something was different.  Milo was put in a separate room.  He went into hiding for hours until he was finally willing to accept food from me.

He was in that room for weeks.  Slowly smelling eachother through the bottom of the door Milo and Maya became aware of eachother's presence.  One day, Milo was ready to explore the entire home, I opened the door and he ran away escaped into the wilderness of the home.. oh my! Maya was on her way upstairs and that's the first time they came into contact.  Maya was NOT very happy but Milo survived.  (plus, Maya had kitty claws so she wouldnt hurt him even if she tried).  She was really good, but for days, she seemed very down, blue, sad and depressed and wasnt eating as well as she would normally eat which worried me.

I allowed them a few minutes play time every day, but Maya was very agitated.  I decided to give Feliway a try since I had received several samples in the mail as part of a product review and it changed EVERYTHING.
FELIWAY®

Maya started eating better, she was more patient with Milo getting out of the room and immediately jumping on top of her.  After Feliway, she started grooming him and even sharing toys, she hated every toy after he had touched it.  What a spoiled brat some may say, but she has been a princess and all of the sudden there is a bugler roaming her territory.

She definitely looked a lot happier.  I was so worried about her to the point that I wanted to return Milo.

Am a big believer in Feliway now, not only they gained a blogger/reviewer to share the news but also a customer.

I was also supplied with a spray which is WONDERFUL! for the carrier.  Maya hates the carrier.  Every time I even open the door to the attic she RUUUNS for her life (that's where I store the carrier) I think she started to see the connection.  So I bring the carrier down, spray it a couple of times and let it sit, she comes close to it on her own and it's easier to just pick her up and throw her in :) she doesnt complain about it either all the way through our destination and even falls asleep in transit.

Now, Milo has started toilet training (yeah! on a real toilet) so they are technically sharing the litter box.  If you have or have had any cats you know that this is a recipe for disaster but it's for a good cause here.  When Milo was still using the litter box, Maya decided she didnt want to use the toilet anymore and would go about her business on HIS litter box which HE did not like AT ALL!  I make sure that Feliway's diffuser is always plugged in so the bathroom is a comfy atmosphere for them to do their thing.

Feliway works wonders with unwanted cat behavior such as scratching where they're not supposed to, spraying and aggressiveness.  To learn more, visit http://www.ceva.us/us/Products/Companion-Animals and give it a try.  Your pets truly deserve it.

For dogs, I had the opportunity to try Adaptil which works very similar to Feliway but on dogs.  I gave it to my cousin who has an American Eskimo, Prince is his name.  Prince belongs to my cousin but he's really the family dog.  I have the family cats lol Prince is not a well-behaved dog, he's got the terrible two's that children get.  It's his way or no way, because of how my cousin and his wife had been raising him.  Adaptil has helped them amazingly to achieve better results.  He's better at going to the bathroom and has even learned some tricks and when he's reprimanded for anything, he actually has sad puppy eyes, as opposed to spiteful, my way or no way kind of look.  (I hope it makes sense).  When my cousin first tried Adaptil, him and his wife sent me a message saying "We have never seen Prince so good and still EVER" he was sitting watching tv with them on the living room while Adaptil was plugged into the wall.

Stress is a major factor in unwanted behavior which can drive you to the decision of getting rid of your pet and is probably something as simple as moving your furniture around or as complex as bringing a new kitten home.

Love your pet.  Understand the needs of your pet.

I know this is a loooot of words in one review, but I had to give you the complete story.

Love you guys.

Till next time.

Light Chaser

58020_light_chaser
I received this light chaser collar as part of a product review from Petmate and it's the most fun thing out there!
I wonder if any cat has ever caught the red dot??

Cats are very playful, active pets, at least mine are.  As you know, my Maya fetches she's like the coolest cat out there! (next to yours of course) as cool as she is, she's also very demanding of attention and as much I looove spending time with her there are times where my hand gets tired of holding the laser pen for her to play! so THIS is purrrrrfect!

The Petmate Light Chaser comes with an adjustable velcro collar and replacement batteries.

I simply take the actual light out of the velcro and put it on her collar...(looks prettier)  and turn it on and off she goes.  A red laser dot comes out of the light hanging off of her neck on to the floor, so it's her natural instinct for her to chase after it.  Milo is still too tiny for it.  He clearly looks uncomfortable when the light hangs off of him, but he does enjoy chasing the light with Maya.

After this she jumped off to "catch" the red light.

I love watching her climb to get it.
The light chaser seems to be very durable she's hit it against the floor many times and it hasnt been broken.  Batteries have been long lasting (replacement batteries included) and most importantly wont hurt my baby!.

I would not leave it unsupervised but it is definitely one less thing I have to do when I come home from work.  I mean, watching them play is very fun! but having to hold the light not so much!  =)

You can buy it at any petstore where they sell Petmate products.

Visit Petmate.com to see all of their products for cats, dogs and birds.  You can make a wishlist and then head out to your favorite pet store.
